SAHA Istanbul was established with the mission to increase the domesticity rate, acquire critical technologies, and elevate the international competitiveness of the Turkish defence, aviation, and space sectors. It is the largest industrial cluster in Turkey and Europe. Contributing significantly to technology development capacity, it includes over 1,300 companies from 49 cities, major contractors like Aselsan, TUSAŞ, Roketsan, STM, and Baykar, as well as 30 universities and TÜBİTAK. Its member companies employ 78,300 people, with a combined turnover of 12.59 billion USD and an export volume of 6.08 billion USD. The membership distribution is 64% SMEs, 16% micro-enterprises, 17% large enterprises, and 3% universities.
